Students with interests in disability, education, or health may want to consider this minor. The minor allows students to explore pathways that focus on hearing and hearing disorders, speech and language development, or speech and language disorders. Students with majors in education, psychology, or health science disciplines may find that this minor expands knowledge and skills to support alternative career pathways in communication disorders.

For completion of a minor, a student must have a minimum overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 in all courses specified as a requirement for the minor exclusive of prerequisite courses, and complete a minimum of six hours in upper-level courses in the minor requirement through courses offered by Old Dominion University.
