Applications open Aug. 26 for consideration for admission to the Fall 2025 term, and applications are reviewed until the class is filled.

Priority consideration will be given to applications received by March 1. International applicants who will require an F-1 Student Visa to study in the United States must submit their application by April 15.

All applications are made through the Health Administration, Management & Policy Centralized Application Service (HAMPCAS), a centralized application service for graduate programs in health administration, healthcare management, and health policy.

Review process

For applications received by March 1 the following review process will be used:

• Applications reviewed and offers for applicant interviews by March 8
• Applicant interviews scheduled by March 19
• Interviews conducted by April 9
• Admission offers made by April 16
• Admission offers accepted by applicants by April 30
• Decision to close admissions or continue reviewing applications by April 30

For US Students

• No GRE or GMAT required.
• Completion of all undergraduate degree requirements from an accredited institution prior to matriculating in the Health Administration (M.H.A.) program, with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • In the case where an applicant’s cumulative GPA is below the minimum 3.0, reviewers may consider a replacement GPA computed from the most recent 40 semester credit hours of U.S. or Canadian coursework.
• Three (3) letters of reference from academic or workplace affiliations that reflect on an applicant’s behavior, character, and leadership ability.
• Personal essay describing how the Health Administration (M.H.A.) degree will enhance your professional goals.
• Current CV/resume documenting professional experience, educational achievements, and volunteer experience.
• Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. Ensure the degree conferral date is listed on the awarding institution’s transcript.
• Transcripts must be sent to HAMPCAS only. HAMPCAS only accepts electronic transcripts from Parchment and National Student Clearinghouse. If your school does not offer either of these services, your transcript must be sent via mail. Please use the information below to send your transcripts.

• Interview: Screened applicants will meet with the Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.) admissions committee to assess interpersonal and communication skills, maturity, and an understanding and commitment to Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.) career paths. For International Students

  • If the academic institution that you attended does not issue documents in English, the credentialing agency will require that you submit a word-for-word translation of your transcripts. You can contact University Language Services to submit your transcripts for translation and instruct them to send the translated transcript to the credentialing agency you choose.
  • HAMPCAS will ONLY accept the evaluation report from the credentialing agency. Do not send your foreign transcript to HAMPCAS.

Degree requirements

The 42/43-credit Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.) curriculum is designed to cover all Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) core competencies and to provide all students with a deep and broad understanding and appreciation of the healthcare system and healthcare management consistent with the program’s mission.

All courses are delivered in a hybrid format consisting of in-person sessions and online assignments. The Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.) degree can be completed in five semesters for full-time students but can be completed on a part-time basis. Part-time students will have a maximum of six years to complete degree requirements from the date they start their first course.

The Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.) curriculum will consist of two tracks to meet the experience needs for incoming students. Students enrolled in Track I (43 credit hours) will be students who have little to no experience in healthcare settings. Track I students will be required to take an administrative introduction course, which will consist of gaining health care administration exposure and experience at a local healthcare organization. Students enrolled in Track II will have healthcare experience and do not need this initial exposure for the healthcare environment. Throughout the program, students will work closely with their academic advisor to ensure proper course sequencing and competency development, leading to successful graduation.
