Certificate Artificial Intelligence in Education and Learning Technologies Certificate
The purpose of the Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence in Education & Learning Technologies is to educate students in both the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI tools into learning environments. Students will gain knowledge in AI tools and competencies. Students will develop skills in the ethical and transparent use of AI in education and a broader understanding of AI and its potential benefits for education and beyond. Graduates will be able to develop educational technologies using AI, and apply pedagogical sound methodology to the use of AI to enhance teaching.
All students will be required to apply to the certificate program. The admission requirements will be based on enrollment status at the institution. Degree-seeking students will:
- Gain advisor approval before applying to the program
- Submit a completed online application
- Have earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, or international equivalent.
Non-degree seeking students will:
- Submit a completed online application and application fee
- Submit official transcripts of all undergraduate coursework from regionally accredited institutions
- Have earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, or international equivalent.
Students who have not earned a degree in the United States must also submit:
Current scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), with a minimum score of 230 on the computer-based TOEFL or 80 on the TOEFL iBT. The School of Data Science will require all applicants: provide proof of one year of teaching experience or experience working in education.
