The Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics and Big Data provides students with a core understanding of analytical techniques and software tools applied to complex business decision-making.
Modern organizations must address increasingly complex decisions and must often incorporate uncertainty into the decision-making process. Business analytics and quantitative modeling techniques are extremely powerful decision-support tools that can supply objective information and insight to support informed decision-making. This certificate is designed to allow graduates to effectively leverage these methods.
The certificate is designed to be “full spectrum” in nature - covering descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. Topics include statistical analysis, simulation modeling, optimization, forecasting, data visualization, machine learning and A.I., data management and analytics, and many others. This certificate can be pursued in conjunction with a graduate degree program, such as the Strome College’s M.B.A degree (but also including non-Business degrees), or it can be taken as a stand-alone certificate program.
