Certificate Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Data Science Certificate
The purpose of this interdisciplinary certificate is to provide an understanding of Artificial Intelligence within the context of Data Science. The program includes coursework focusing on the principles of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence, as well as the role of the human in interpreting the results. Students will gain knowledge on methods to process, model and visualize different types of data utilizing machine learning techniques. Students will be able to describe the major areas of artificial intelligence, including natural language processing, machine logic and robotics. Graduates will be better able to describe and understand Artificial Intelligence created by data science processes.
Admission Information
All applicants admitted to the certificate program must meet ODU requirements for graduate admission: an earned baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution or an equivalent degree from a foreign institution.
Non-degree seeking students are required to have these same credentials, though documentation is not required. Ultimately, students must apply to the certificate program in order to obtain the certificate.
